The Institute of Artificial Intelligence Methods and Information Mining (AIM) engages primarily in the field of artificial intelligence and information extraction - i.e. automation of intelligent behaviour - by carrying out projects.
The focus of its research activities is neural network, knowledge and rule based systems, artificial intelligence methods as well as adaptive data mining, data management and targeted information mining.
Through Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor’s projects, researches of the institute are closely linked to the teaching. High value is placed on the interdisciplinary cooperation - not only with other disciplines at the university, but also with local and regional companies. As soon as new approaches are identified from the research topics of the institute, further research and development projects will be proposed.
The extensive activities and competences of the institute assure the students an education which is based on the latest state of research and offers various perspectives.
