Only suitably qualified graduates can fulfil the rapidly growing demands in the operation of engineering plants. The main responsibilities of the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Plant Engineering lie in autonomous project planning and supervision, as well as in the economic operation of technical facilities. The principal task is the solution of practice-related problems under consideration of technical and economic aspects, as well as of environmental friendliness. Graduates of the course are traditionally employed in engineering and planning offices, in industrial enterprises which manufacture technical plant components, in energy supply utilities and municipal organisations and in the project planning of conventional and regenerative energy installations. Positions in large organisations or small and medium-sized enterprises with large-scale technical supply systems, such as industrial firms, hospitals, airports, power plants, amongst many others, are equally part of the spectrum. Employment in authorities and organisations responsible for technical administration and supervisory tasks is also possible.
