Practical and research focus

The focus on application together with the integration of current research and development issues play a major role in the Master course.

Modern and well-equipped computer laboratories offer students the possibility to test networks, software environments, application software and special tools under practical conditions and to develop new concepts. In addition, the research interests of the individual university lecturers influence teaching, for example, information mining, environmental informatics, quality management, Internet society, e-business, groupware platforms, system analysis, system integration, media design, multimedia programming, virtual reality, mathematical simulation, SAP, as well as e-learning and game-based learning. In addition, the Informatics Department maintains a strong network of partnerships above all with local and regional enterprises, institutes and scientific organisations.
