Application
In general, can apply for one or two semesters at Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
The following steps are necessary for an application at Letterkenny Institute of Technology:
- The students fills in the online-Application Form. The document should be filled within three weeks after the registration.
On the application form you may also find a list of the different study programmes from which you can choose.
Handwritten applications will not be accepted. - The student fills in the online-Medical Registration Form.
- The student needs a current Transcript of Records from the home university.
Students who are interested in the fields of design and creative media programmes, need to show their artistic and creative ability by sending an online portfolio to Peter Dobson. - At the end, all documents need to be sent to the address written below:

Ireland - When you receive your admission letter, you can also start to organize your accommodation. Please find a list of possibilities here.
Required language skills: Due to the fact that the language of studies is English, the university recommends language skills starting from a B1 level.

Winter term: September - January
Summer term: January - May
Courses
Students are allowed to choose modules from one study programme.
Due to financial constraints, entry to courses is subject to numbers and therefore not guaranteed.
Students are not allowed to register for modules in their mother tongue. English Language classes can be organised at a fee if enough students are interested.
Retake Exams: If a students needs to retake an exam, this is possible at the end of August (please find further information on that in the academic calendar). Letterkenny Institute of Technology does not send retake exams to partner universities or organizes such exams for them.
Further Informationen
For all 1st semester students, the registration takes place on September 11 at 10.30h at the 'Nurses Canteen'. (Further information on this date will be given with the admission letter.
