Admission Conditions

Admission to the course is conditional upon a completed university qualification which permits entry to a profession from the field of Informatics, Business Informatics or Media Informatics (i.e. Bachelor or Diploma from a university, university of applied sciences or a comparable higher education institution in Germany or abroad) with course achievements of at least 180 Credit Points (CP) and an internship term or term spent abroad (30 CP). The overall grade of this university qualification must be at least 2.5 or "Good" (ECTS B).

Access to the Master course of graduates from a 6-term Bachelor course is through a 6-month practical phase (recognised with 30 CP).

Students should master the English language to such a degree that they can contribute successfully to discussions and seminars in their own field. Overall, evidence of a language qualification corresponding to Level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages must be provided (see also A qualification in German language corresponding to Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is expected from non-German applicants. If a candidate does not possess sufficient German language skills, these can be acquired in a preparatory term.
