Project Members

The project is under the direction of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. In addition, Rytle GmbH and Wesereilboten GmbH are involved in the implementation of the project. The project is funded by Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH.

University of Bremerhaven

The professorship for "IuK technologies for external Logistics" is part of the study programs „Transportwesen und Logistik (BSc)“ and „Logistics Engineering Management (MSc)“ and deals with research with the topics "Sustainable Transport", "Automotive Sharing Systems" "Autonomous Vehicles, Travel Information Systems (TIS)", "Sustainability Customer Relationship Management (SusCRM)" and "Big and Open Data in Smart Cities".

There are many sustainable mobility projects that are directly related to this project. For examples there are the project „NEMo - Sustainable fulfillment of mobility needs in rural areas" (www.nemo-mobilitaet.de)  and the project "IKT Services - Showcase electric mobility Lower Saxony" (http://www.ikts-niedersachsen.de). 

Rytle GmbH

The Bremen-based company RYTLE was founded in 2017 as a joint venture between the trailer and trailer construction manufacturer Krone (majority shareholder) and the consulting firm Orbitak AG. The company has set itself the goal of revolutionizing transports within the last mile with a holistic and networked concept for city logistics.

Wesereilboten GmbH

The company Weser Eilboten GmbH is a leading transport service provider in the region Bremerhaven – Bremen – Cuxhaven – Oldenburg – Stade. In the thirty-year history of the company, the company has continuously adapted to the changing needs of customers and the market, always with the aim of providing optimal transport solutions and first-class service. The company operates both in Bremerhaven and in the Elbe-Weser triangle. The vehicle fleet, consisting of courier vehicles, transports and trucks, is state-of-the-art and is supported by modern software.
