Practical parts of the course
Practice: 3 practical phases in 7 semesters
Observation - Project - Internship
The practical phases in the social work course begin in the first semester in the form of internship days with our cooperation partners, whose practical facilities reflect the diverse fields of work in social work. Students should get to know the four defined fields of action in social work on one day a week for 6 weeks in the 1st and 2nd semesters. The project phase in the 3rd and 4th semesters offers the opportunity to practice idea generation, conception, implementation and evaluation of project work in social work. In the 5th, 6th and 7th semesters, the practical experience intensifies because students no longer change institutions within the three practical phases.
1st+2nd Semester: 4 internships, each approx. 6 days
3rd+4th Semester: Projects in small groups (approx. 28 days each)
5th-7th Semester: Internship (approx. 30/45/30 days each)
