Are you curious about German Sign Language (DGS)? Have you seen it on TV, in the subway, or out on the street?
How does it work? How can people communicate without sound? Is it just German expressed with hands, or is it something entirely different?
DGS is fascinating—and once you start learning it, a whole new world of communication opens up.
This introductory course is designed for people like you who want to learn more about German Sign Language

We are celebrating Diversity Day with workshops, a Diversity Marketplace, and a poetry slam.
The internal morning program is open to all members of the university: students, lecturers and adjunct faculty, researchers, and administrative and technical staff. An overview and descriptions of all sessions can be found here. Registration for the events will soon be available via Elli.

Experience lunch in complete darkness – and gain insight into the everyday life of people with visual impairments.
Special blackout glasses will be provided and should be worn throughout the entire meal.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meeting point: Ground floor hallway of Building K. From there, participants will be guided to the dining room without sight.

How Can I Get Through Study and Work Sessions Without Tension?
What causes tension and back pain—and what can I do to prevent it and strengthen my back?
These questions will be addressed in this workshop through expert input, movement exercises, and practical everyday tips.

This event is for students who understand themselves as: Black, Migrant, Indigenous and People of Color.
All of these people mentioned above are very different, but one thing they have in common is their experience of racism.
We want to take the time to reflect on how we can reduce the racism around us in order to achieve our goals as students.
That is why, we want to create a brainstorm where we:

In this session, teaching staff and employees in leadership roles will receive a brief introduction to their responsibilities and approach to handling discrimination at the university, in accordance with the Statute on Protection Against and Dealing With Discrimination.

In this mini-workshop, we’ll explore the origins of the word “woke”, discuss its history, and analyze how the backlash against diversity and inclusion in education, business, and politics is connected to coloniality. Finally, we’ll imagine our own personal woke utopias.
The workshop is open to students and all university staff.

Improv Theater is new territory for you, but you're curious and have always wanted to give it a try? Then this is the right place for you. No prior experience or talent is required – everyone is welcome.
Together, we'll explore the art of improvisation through hands-on exercises. Making mistakes is not only allowed but encouraged, and stepping out of your comfort zone is sometimes a must. Have fun experimenting!
