Learn new languages on your summer holiday
Learn new languages on your summer holiday!
Sign language, Korean, Dutch and much more: one to two-week intensive language courses are offered for nine languages. Most courses take place in presence at the University of Bremen, but there are also online offers for English and Spanish.
The beginners' courses for Italian, Polish, Russian and Portuguese as well as the English courses with target level B1 are recognised as educational time under the Bremen Educational Time Act. They are aimed at students, university applicants and all interested parties from Bremen, Bremerhaven and the surrounding area. In the area of English B2 to C1, the focus is on teaching scientific language skills. Applicants can also obtain certificates for admission to studies through the intensive courses, which usually last two weeks. In the examination area of the SZHB, the next CILS examination for Italian will take place on 19 October; certificates for A2 and B1 (official proof for obtaining citizenship) can be obtained.
Language self-learning and coaching opportunities
The Language Self-Study Centre in House S at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences will be closed during the semester break from 24 July. However, it is still possible to register online for the Tapas tandem programme at any time. From October onwards, weekly language cafés will again be offered on site free of charge.
Independent language learning with tutorial support in the tutoring programme is also possible during the semester break, as is advice on English-language texts of all kinds at the Writer's Help Desk.
The semester-long language programme for the winter semester 2023/24 starts on 16 October 2023.
