Studying Abroad

The University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven maintains numerous partnerships with universities worldwide that share our academic interests in tourism. These universities offer very favourable conditions to our students – such as no student fees, local support and guaranteed places. Studying abroad offers a unique way of cultural learning and broadens the students' horizons in terms of different languages, mentalities and a new multicultural setting. Oftentimes students will meet people from all over the world during their studies while they also have the chance to travel and get to know the culture of their new „home“.

When deciding to study abroad the International Office is the first place to go to. Our staff here will be able to provide essential tips regarding applications, scholarships and other financial aid. Living in another country obviously entails several costs which is why studies inside the EU are supported by ERASMUS + and studies outside the EU get finanial aid from PROMOS.

If none of the partner universities appeal to a student this is no problem at all. Many of our students prefer to pursue their own ideas about studying abroad, and they are free to do so. Over the past few years they have spent their semester abroad at non-partner universities in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Finland, France, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, United States.
