GUUGLE

GUUGLE stands for „Gut und gerne Lernen und Lehren“ and means to „learn and teach gladly and well“. It is a perennial project of the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences whose concept has been awarded at the contest „Exzellente Lehre“ (excellent teaching). Funded by the “Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft” (Association for the Promotion of Science and Humanities in Germany) and the Federal Land Bremen it pursues the goal to further enhance the quality of teaching. This is done by
•Cultivating a university-wide and action-oriented interexchange to the subjects teaching, learning and academic study,
•Didactical qualification of lecturers,
•Stimulation of innovation, and
•A corresponding enhancement of the existing teaching-learning-culture.

Another goal of the project is the further improvement of academic study conditions.

Lecturers as well as students are invited to actively participate in the project.

Specific activities:
•Professional teaching and learning groups ? an action-oriented exchange of experiences of lecturers to subjects of their choice several times per semester
•Collegiate project groups ? students work in teams on matters of their choice and receive credit points in return
•Annual Teaching-learning-conference “GUUGLE Forum”
•Didactical professional development ? open to all lectures including external associate lectures, scientific and technical assistants
