3.1 Web logs of the web server
The University automatically collects and stores information in the web server log files that your browser sends to us. These are: -
- IP address
- Information about the type of browser and the version used
- Date and time of access - Internet service provider of the user
- Operating system of the user
- Websites from which the user's system accesses our website
- Websites that are accessed by the user's system via our website
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to your computer. For this purpose, the IP address of your computer must remain stored for the duration of the session. In addition, we use the data to ensure the security of our information technology systems and to optimize our website. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.
Of the aforementioned data, the IP address is considered personal. Your IP address is stored for a maximum of 7 days and then completely anonymized (deleted or alienated). After that, the aforementioned data are no longer personal. They are deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The university has a legitimate interest in detecting and eliminating malfunctions and for page optimization.
