Students who are enrolled in a regular bachelor's or master's degree program at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and would like to study, complete an internship, or take a language course abroad.
PROMOS Programme to increase the mobility of students at German universities
PROMOS
As part of the PROMOS programme, various projects abroad can be funded worldwide, provided that there is no travel warning issued by the Federal Foreign Office for the country or region in question at the time of the stay.

PROMOS Application
• You are enrolled at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences with the aim of obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree.
• You have achieved good academic results with a grade point average of at least 2.5.
• You can demonstrate that you have the language skills required for your chosen university/internship.
Funding period: minimum 1 month, maximum 6 months
The funding amount (country allowance) can be found in the table below. The exact amount and duration of the funding will be determined by the selection committee and communicated to the scholarship holders in time. You can apply for the country allowance (monthly rate), mobility allowance, and tuition fee subsidy, but approval of all allowances and subsidies cannot be guaranteed.
Students who are planning to study abroad in 2026 in order to expand their professional, linguistic, intercultural, and social skills can submit their application documents for the PROMOS program 2026 to the International Office/Outgoing Students section by September 1, 2025, for mobility in the summer semester 2026, and by March 1, 2026, for mobility in the winter semester 2026/2027. Please check in advance whether the form of your stay abroad meets the eligibility criteria listed under “Funding Opportunities.”

7. Internship abroad: Confirmation from the employer or internship agreement signed by both parties, stating the type of work, the duration of the internship, and, if applicable, the internship remuneration

Scholarships are awarded by a selection committee based on the quality of the application documents submitted. There is no entitlement to funding. Scholarship recipients will be notified of the outcome of the selection process by email within four weeks of the application deadline.
