FIfF conference at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences invites interested parties

The ‘Forum Computer Scientists for Peace and Social Responsibility’ and computer science lecturers at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences invite you to the FIfF Conference 2024 from 25 to 27 October. This year's focus topic ‘Sustainability in Computer Science’ will include the design of sustainable hardware and software as well as the role of IT projects in achieving sustainability goals. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend public presentations on Friday, 25 October and Saturday, 26 October at 6 p.m. in lecture hall T001 (Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, Building T, Room 001, An der Karlstadt 8). On Friday, 25 October, Stephan Frickenhaus from the Alfred Wegener Institute will speak at 6 p.m. in his opening lecture on ‘Sustainable provision of research data using the example of polar research - experiences from the MOSAIC project’.

On Saturday, 26 October, a panel discussion on ‘Looking at the global context of sustainability’ will take place at 6 pm. Economist Friederike Spiecker and sustainability and peace researcher Jürgen Scheffran will discuss the question of how a more sustainable organisation of the world can be achieved in a globally just manner.
