"Science goes Public!": Going to the pub makes you smarter!

Research

The popular science series "Science goes public!" is starting its spring round.

On six evenings from 14 March to 18 April, there will be a total of 18 entertaining lectures that will introduce guests to the fascinating world of science - in short facts and anecdotes that are easy for laypeople to understand. On Thursday, 28 March at 20:30, Prof. Dr Ramona Bosse will be talking about the "superfood" egg at "Café de Fiets". Admission to all events is free.

Whether scrambled, fried or boiled - eggs are not only on many people's menus at Easter.  They can be prepared in a variety of delicious ways and are a source of protein for young and old alike. But are they really healthy? After all, they are often said to have a negative influence on cholesterol levels. In her lecture "Easter eggs = superfood", Prof Dr Ramona Bosse dispels old myths and explains how eggs can contribute to a balanced diet.

Further information on the programme can be found at www.sciencegoespublic.de.

The event will be held in German.
