Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences celebrates its 50th anniversary on Theodor-Heuss-Platz

Three varied events during SAiL 2025

As the highlight of its anniversary celebrations, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences is hosting three free events during SAiL 2025. From 14 to 16 August, all interested parties can look forward to a varied programme with entertaining lectures and experiments, insights into the cultural diversity of the students, campus tours and a big anniversary party with a concert by the band ‘RAUM27’. Erlebnis Bremerhaven GmbH is providing the stage on Theodor-Heuss-Platz for the celebrations.

On Thursday, 14 August, the university will offer an exciting insight into the world of maritime sciences at ‘City Campus meets SAiL’ starting at 5 p.m. In entertaining open-air lectures on the large stage, selected degree programmes will show how much sea they have in them. The stage programme will be moderated by students from the university. The university information office and student mentors will be available to answer questions about studying in Bremerhaven. Campus tours will also be offered every half hour.

On Friday, 15 August, the university will showcase the diversity of its student body during the sailors' parade starting at 4 p.m. International students invite you to learn about the cultures of their home countries at ‘Hochschule international – celebrating diverse cultures’ in Haus THP (Theodor-Heuss-Platz 1). Visitors can expect traditional food and drinks, music, games and much more.

The anniversary party on Saturday, 16 August, will bring the celebrations to a close. Join us at Theodor-Heuss-Platz. Starting at 7 p.m., the samba group ‘Schlick Sticks’ will get visitors in the mood to party. At 8 p.m., the nationally renowned band ‘RAUM27’ from Bremerhaven will take the stage. Afterwards, regional DJs will spin tunes.
