WindMW Service GmbH supports intercultural exchange at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences

Donation enables reception of international guests

The Bremerhaven-based wind farm operator WindMW Service GmbH supported the Association for the Promotion of Scientific Continuing Education at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences with a donation at the end of 2024. To mark this occasion in a particularly festive setting, the obligatory cheque presentation took place during the anniversary concert. 

In a globally connected world, maintaining international relations is very important. Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences also has partnerships around the world. Such donations, such as those from WindMW Service GmbH, help to maintain these exchanges and ensure that guest delegations can be welcomed in an appropriate manner. This donation will be used to finance, among other things, admission fees for cultural activities in Bremerhaven, as well as catering and gifts for guest delegations from partner universities, primarily from China, which the university would not be able to afford from its budget. We are very grateful that we can receive our international guests appropriately in this way," says Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alexis Papathanassis, Rector of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. 

This gesture towards international guests is more than just a nice offer. It is particularly important for people from relationship-oriented cultures, as Prof. Dr. Dr. Gerhard Feldmeier, Dean of Faculty 2, knows: ‘In these cultures, a high level of hospitality is expected, as is offered there in the same way.’
WindMW Service GmbH would like to continue supporting Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences as an important scientific teaching and research institution in the city. During visits to the Bremerhaven control room or other activities, the company would like to familiarise students with the topic of offshore wind energy.
