Register for Girls‘ and Boys’ Day at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences

University

Online registration possible from Monday, 03 February

If girls and boys are sitting in front of their mobile phone, tablet and PC screens early in the morning during this year's winter holidays, it's not necessarily because of TikTok, SnapChat and the like. Because on Monday, 3 February, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences will open its Future Day programme between 8:30 and 9 am. Interested students can then secure one of the coveted places in the laboratories of the university by the sea. For organisational reasons, registration is only possible online. Girls use the central online platform www.girls-day.de, boys the registration page www.hs-bremerhaven.de/zukunftstag. It is not possible to register on site at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences or by telephone.

On Future Day, Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences offers pupils from year 5 to 13 the opportunity to take part in various practical workshops on exciting topics from the fields of computer science, logistics and physics, among others. How is tracking and tracing used in logistics to protect human rights and the environment? How do robots learn to talk and walk? And how do nanoparticles in corona tests recognise whether we are ill? Participants will find out all this and more during the course of the morning. The action day begins with a short kick-off event on Thursday, 3 April at 8 am.

Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences is taking part in the nationwide Girls' Day for the 22nd time. The aim is to give girls the opportunity to venture into traditionally male domains. Although they can easily keep up with their male peers and have the best job prospects, many young women still shy away from future-oriented professions in the fields of technology, crafts, natural sciences and IT.
