Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and the German Maritime Museum invite you to the ‘Koggethon’

University

Long Night of Computer Science on Saturday, 28 June, from 6 p.m.

How are computer science and culture connected? What interfaces are there and how can people interested in computer science actively shape the cultural experience? Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and the German Maritime Museum want to explore these and other exciting questions together and creatively at this year's ‘Koggethon’ on Saturday, 28 June, from 6 p.m. in the Koggehalle (German Maritime Museum, Hans-Scharoun-Platz 1, Bremerhaven). All pupils from the 10th grade onwards, students and citizens interested in computer science are invited. Registration is possible until 21 June at https://informatik.hs-bremerhaven.de/koggethon.

The Long Night of Computer Science gives all participants their first insights into computer science and the use of algorithms or, for those with experience, new insights. Working in teams, they collect ideas, develop models and use prototypes to explore how these can be digitised and programmed. The event at the German Maritime Museum is organised and supervised by lecturers and students from higher semesters of the Computer Science department at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences together with staff from the German Maritime Museum.
