Students bring regional start-up scene to pop-up store
Showroom and varied programme from 11 to 17 August
Students from the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership programme at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences have organised a special event to coincide with SAiL. From Monday, 11 August to Sunday, 17 August, under the motto ‘Future. Bremerhaven’ from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day, regional entrepreneurs will present their products and services in the pop-up store in the Columbus Center (Obere Bürger 71, next to the glass bridge to the Havenwelten). In addition, events will take place in the event area, such as yoga sessions, workshops on life design and live podcasts. Registration is still open for the Founders Brunch on 15 August from 10 a.m. and for the Hackathon on 16 August from 12 noon. All interested parties are cordially invited to participate. Further information on the programme items can be found at www.hs-bremerhaven.de/zukunftbremerhaven.
The Founders Brunch on Friday, 15 August, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. brings together people who want to actively shape Bremerhaven as a business location. In an open atmosphere in the pop-up store, there is room for exchange, innovation and encounters on equal terms. Anyone interested can talk to young founders, students and established companies, exchange ideas and develop new perspectives on entrepreneurial activity in Bremerhaven. Registration is by email to serdar.ugurlu@tab-eg.de.
During the hackathon, participants will spend six hours developing solutions to real challenges in the region, ranging from sustainability and urban development to logistics. Anyone interested is welcome to contribute their ideas. The hackathon will take place on Saturday, 16 August, from 12 noon to 6:30 p.m. Registration is possible by emailing serdar.ugurlu@tab-eg.de.
The event was made possible by STÄWOG's Springflut Bremerhaven initiative, BIS - Bremerhavener Gesellschaft für Investitionsförderung und Stadtentwicklung mbH, ttz Bremerhaven and the Volksbank's Bankstage in the Elbe-Weser triangle.
