Application for master courses

Welcome to Bremerhaven!

We are pleased that you are interested in studying at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. Applications for the winter semester must be submitted by 15 August and for the summer semester by 15 February each year. This applies to graduates from the EU as well as applicants with a bachelor’s degree from non-EU countries, provided that a corresponding evaluation report from uni-assist is available. Depending on the course, Master's students are admitted in the winter term or in the summer term. Please find out more on the page for the desired course of study. Please apply online on our ecampus application portal and upload all the required documents there.

Please note that for international Master's applicants different application requirements may apply:
The Bachelor's degree is always used as the basis for assessment—Master's degrees from other German universities are therefore not accepted.
For applicants with a Bachelor's degree from an EU country, the usual deadlines as above apply. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a non-EU country must submit their application via www.uni-assist.de. Different application deadlines apply in some cases:
- for PEET and ESD applications: December 31 (summer semester) and June 30 (winter semester)
- All other Master's programmess: January 15 (summer semester) and July 15 (winter semester)

If the applicant already has a valid Uni-Assist report, the application is submitted directly via our ecampus.hs-bremerhaven.de application portal, where this report must be uploaded together with the Bachelor's degree. The application deadline in this regard is February 15 (summer semester) or August 15 (winter semester).

Starting in the summer semester 2026, students can begin their studies in the following master’s degree programmes:
- Biotechnology
- Embedded Systems Design
- Integrated Safety and Security Management
- Computer Science – Trustworthy Systems
- Food Technology
- Logistics Engineering and Management
- Process Engineering and Energy Technology
- Wind Energy Technology

You can register directly at the university unless you have obtained your bachelor degree outside the EU - then you have to start your application via www.uni-assist.de.
