Transactional analysis Learning to Counsel Professionally

Transaction analysts who work in the consulting field support clients in their personal and professional growth. The aim is to increase autonomy and relationship skills in a social, cultural and professional context. Important aspects in the consulting process:
- research the issue and make it understandable
- Determine the goal and route there together
- identify challenges and obstacles that arise
- rediscover and activate your own resources
- Develop attitude and options for action
- coordinate next concrete steps
- anchor newly developed things in everyday life.
The introductory course in transactional analysis (101 course) will take place for new students in the first semester on October 13th/14th, 2024. Please make sure to save this date now.

Transactional Analyst in the Field of Counselling (DGTA)
The introductory course in Transactional Analysis (TA 101 Course) for new students will take place during the first semester on 12 and 13 October 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the first day and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the second day. Please make sure to reserve these dates in your calendar now, as attendance is strongly recommended.
By successfully completing the modules of the degree program (see Module Handbook), you progressively fulfill the requirements for obtaining the DGTA Counseling Certificate.
Documented reflective practice activities (10 documented supervision sessions and 10 peer consultation reports) as well as documented attendance (90.1% of course hours) qualify you to register for the certification assessment. The assessment consists of a case study, an oral colloquium, and a recommendation from the training facilitator.
Thanks to the modular structure of the program, certification can be completed either during your studies or later in your professional career.
Students who do not wish to pursue the certificate complete the regular module assessment in the respective semester. This assessment demonstrates engagement with fundamental communication psychology approaches as well as the development of self-awareness and interpersonal awareness as key professional competencies in Social Work.
