Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences has recognised this problem and is helping to keep skilled workers in the region with its business administration degree programme (practice-integrated dual). The six-semester Business Administration degree programme (practice-integrated dual) offers companies the opportunity to employ students on a permanent basis right from the start of their studies, to keep them at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences for the duration of their studies and to train and further educate them through practical study projects and during the practical phases in the company. To this end, they send new or long-term employees to the university. They acquire the same specialist knowledge as their fellow students on the traditional Bachelor's degree programmes, but apply it directly in the company.
