Donation for the cultivation of international co-operations
WindMW Service GmbH once again supports Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences
In 2023, the local Bremerhaven wind farm operator WindMW Service GmbH once again supported the cultivation of international cooperation at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences with a donation. The financial support will mainly be used to finance childcare expenses for guests from international partner universities, which the university could not and should not be able to afford from its own budget. "We are very happy that we can be a worthy host for our international guests in this way and also show them the sights of the city and region," says Rector Prof Dr Dr Alexis Papathanassis.
Such offers are particularly important for guests from relationship-oriented cultures, as Prof. Dr Dr Gerhard Feldmeier, Dean of Faculty 2, knows: "A high level of hospitality is expected in these cultures, as it is offered there in the same way."
WindMW Service GmbH would like to continue to support Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences as an important scientific teaching and research institution in the city. The company would like to familiarise students with the topic of offshore wind energy during visits to the Bremerhaven control room or other activities. "It is very important to our company that the university in Bremerhaven remains one of the top contact points for the wind energy technology degree programme, and we are happy to offer our support," says Managing Director Sebastian Schmidt.
"This is one of the reasons why such close cooperation between the university and companies from the regional economy is indispensable for the university and of great mutual interest," adds Rector Prof. Papathanassis.
