Apply for a library card

At the top right of our website you will find the "Register" button.
Please bring your valid identity card or passport and your registration certificate with you to collect your library card.
Students also need their student ID card.
External users are charged an annual fee.

Media from our locations in Bremen

You can return all media borrowed from our locations to any of our locations.

Printed, borrowable books from our central library in Bremen can be ordered for loan to Bremerhaven.

We offer all members of Bremen's universities the opportunity to order articles from our printed journals and articles from our books free of charge.

About the SuUB

The Bremen State and University Library ensures the supply of literature and information to universities and colleges in the state of Bremen. It supports study, teaching and research in the following subject areas
Teaching methods for researching, accessing and managing literature and information
Procurement and provision of specialised literature
Provision and further development of a certified document server for the free publication of academic publications (open access).
