Course Structure

The concept of the master degree course is based on a seven-semester bachelor degree course in the field of business information systems/informatics, business administration or a similar study program.

Within the first and second semester an interdisciplinary project takes place, which in general happens in cooperation with a business company. During this project a real-life problem of digitalization is addressed. Due to this circumstance the students gain valuable experience in organizing and implementing interdisciplinary projects.

A project supporting module during the first semester allows to connect research topics to the exemplary knowledge from the project. The module Current Issues of Research teaches different methods of research in preparation for the following semesters. During third semester the students write their master thesis. The topic is chosen in relation to their specialization in business information systems/informatics or business administration.
