Campus Day at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences on 24 January from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Attention prospective students! Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences invites you to Campus Day 2024 on Wednesday, 24 January from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The programme includes guided campus tours, open labs, taster lectures and short keynote speeches on current topics from research and teaching. There will also be plenty of space for individual questions at the information stands of the degree programmes. Prior registration is not necessary. All information on the programme can be found at www.hs-bremerhaven.de/campustag.

The Campus Day is primarily aimed at school pupils who are interested in studying at the university. However, all other interested parties are also welcome to find out what the students and researchers in Bremerhaven are working on. They will bring along some of their projects and answer questions. Interactive stands from the Bachelor's degree programmes invite you to join in. A chat with the lecturers instead of a lecture in the lecture theatre, asking specific questions instead of being overwhelmed with information - that is the motto of the information day. "Our university is very informal and values dialogue between students and lecturers. This is better reflected in a format like the campus day, which focuses on personal contact," says organiser Lisa Nitze from the school-university contact point.

Those who have not yet considered their chosen degree programme in depth and would like to get some general information will not miss out either. Guided campus tours, open labs and taster lectures provide an initial insight. Those interested in topics from research and teaching can attend short keynote lectures. The topics include packaging made from algae, energy storage options and sugar-reduced organic food. Students on the Foundation, Innovation, Leadership programme will present their latest project ideas at their winter conference. The university's service centres are available to answer questions about studying abroad, the application process, studying with disabilities and many other topics.

Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences is training urgently needed skilled workers for the region and beyond in its future-oriented degree programmes. The application deadline for the 2024 summer semester is currently still open, but those who already have their Abitur or Fachabitur in their pocket do not have to wait until next autumn to start their studies. The Bachelor's degree programmes in Transport/Logistics, Engineering, Biotechnology of Marine Resources, Business Administration (practice-integrated dual) and Start-up, Innovation, Leadership are also accepting new students for the summer semester. There are also eight mostly technical and scientific Master's degree programmes to choose from. The deadline for submitting documents is Thursday 15 February. Applications are submitted via the university's own application portal ecampus.hs-bremerhaven.de.
